Οι Πρωθυπουργοί δεν μπαίνουν από την πίσω πόρτα

Διαστάσεις λαμβάνει η οργή μεταξύ των γονέων πολλών παιδιών τα οποία αναχωρούν αυτή την περίοδο για τις ΗΠΑ προκειμένου να αρχίσουν τις σχολές τους σε αμερικανικά πανεπιστήμια. Η οργή οφείλεται στο γεγονός ότι λόγω συγκεκριμένου προεδρικού διατάγματος που έχει εκδώσει ο πρόεδρος Τζο Μπάιντεν κανείς ευρωπαίος πολίτης μέχρι νεοτέρας δεν δύναται να μεταβεί στις ΗΠΑ λόγω της πανδημίας. Σε αυτόν τον κανόνα υπάρχουν κάποιες εξαιρέσεις. Επιτρέπεται δηλαδή σε φοιτητές που είναι εγγεγραμμένοι σε αμερικανικά πανεπιστήμια να ταξιδέψουν στις ΗΠΑ, όπως επίσης επιτρέπεται σε ευρωπαίους πολίτες να μεταβούν στην Αμερική υπό αυστηρές προϋποθέσεις και συγκεκριμένους λόγους.

Ωστόσο, σε κανένα ευρωπαίο πολίτη και κατά συνέπεια κάτοικο της Ελλάδας, δεν επιτρέπεται να μεταβεί στις ΗΠΑ για να συνοδεύσει το γιο ή τη θυγατέρα προς εγκατάσταση τους στις φοιτητικές εστίες των αμερικανικών πανεπιστημίων προκειμένου να αρχίσουν τις σπουδές τους. Το αμερικανικό προξενείο στην Αθήνα κατέστησε σαφές σε όλους τους τόνους προς τους γονείς φοιτητών που αρχίζουν τις σπουδές τους στις ΗΠΑ, εξηγώντας με το νι και με το σίγμα, πως δεν είναι δυνατόν να λάβουν βίζα για να μεταβούν στις ΗΠΑ με τα παιδιά τους. Αυτό ισχύει για όλους τους Έλληνες πολίτες, αλλά όχι για το πρωθυπουργό. Όπως ανακοινώθηκε επίσημα από τον κυβερνητικό εκπρόσωπο, ο Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης έλαβε ειδική άδεια προκειμένου να συνοδεύσει τη θυγατέρα του στις ΗΠΑ και να την εγκαταστήσει για να αρχίσει τις σπουδές της. Ο κ. Πρωθυπουργός μετά της θυγατέρας του αναχώρησε από την Ελλάδα την Πέμπτη για αυστηρά ιδιωτική επίσκεψη στις ΗΠΑ και θα επιστρέψει στα καθήκοντά του τη Δευτέρα που μας έρχεται. Δεν θα υπήρχε κανένα πρόβλημα αν ο κ. Μητσοτάκης ως γονιός, όπως και όλοι οι άλλοι γονείς, θα συνόδευε υπό ομαλές συνθήκες το παιδί του στην Αμερική για να αρχίσει τις σπουδές του. Πρόκειται για μια ιδιαίτερη στιγμή με μεγάλη σημασία για τη ζωή ενός νέου ανθρώπου. Αυτό ισχύει όχι μόνο για την κόρη του Πρωθυπουργού, αλλά για την κάθε κόρη ή γιο Έλληνα πολίτη, ο οποίος αρχίζει τις σπουδές του σε κάποια μακρινή χώρα του εξωτερικού. Για όλα αυτά τα παιδιά είναι μια σημαντική στιγμή και για πολλά από αυτά η παρουσία των γονιών τους μπορεί και να είναι απαραίτητη.

Όμως αυτό το οποίο συνέβη με αυτό το ταξίδι του Κυριάκου Μητσοτάκη στις ΗΠΑ είναι το κάτι εντελώς διαφορετικό. Ο Έλληνας πρωθυπουργός, αντίθετα με όλους τους υπόλοιπους ευρωπαίους πολίτες, έλαβε ειδική άδεια επίσκεψης στις ΗΠΑ, όχι για υπηρεσιακούς ή άλλους λόγους που αφορούν κρατικές υποθέσεις, αλλά για μια αυστηρά ιδιωτική υπόθεση και όλα αυτά, ενώ κατά τις αμερικανικές διατάξεις κάτι τέτοιο απαγορεύεται. Με λίγα λόγια, ο πρωθυπουργός κάνοντας χρήση του αξιώματός του παράκαμψε τις απαγορεύσεις και δια της πλαγίας οδού, πήρε άδεια να επισκεφτεί τις ΗΠΑ από την… πίσω πόρτα.

Αυτό ακριβώς το γεγονός έχει προκαλέσει την οργή όλων αυτών των συμπολιτών μας, οι οποίοι είδαν τις αιτήσεις τους να απορρίπτονται από το αμερικανικό προξενείο στην Αθηνά με την επεξήγηση ότι τους απαγορεύεται να συνοδεύσουν τα παιδιά τους στην Αμερική λόγω της πανδημίας. Για άλλη μια φορά, ο Κυριακός Μητσοτάκης συμπεριφέρεται με αλαζονεία. Για άλλη μια φορά, ο Πρωθυπουργός θυμίζει στους πολίτες πως η οικογένεια Μητσοτάκη είναι κάτι το διαφορετικό από τους άλλους Έλληνες. Για άλλη μια φορά, ο σημερινός Πρωθυπουργός προτείνει τον δεσποτισμό από την ταπεινότητα, η οποία θα έπρεπε να χαρακτηρίζει τη συμπεριφορά του. Προφανώς οι γραφειοκράτες συνεργάτες του θα σπεύσουν να δικαιολογήσουν αυτή του την ενέργεια με διάφορους τρόπους, πιστικούς ή όχι λίγο ενδιαφέρει, από τη στιγμή που οι γραμματείς και οι φαρισαίοι του Μαξίμου ενδιαφέρονται απλώς να σώσουν όπως μπορούν και αν μπορούν τα προσχήματα. Και αν τώρα κάποιος από τους συνεργάτες του Πρωθυπουργού επικαλεστεί, έστω και λανθασμένα, το ότι ο Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης διαθέτει διπλωματικό διαβατήριο, θα του απαντήσουμε πως το νόμιμο δεν είναι και ηθικό.
