Forty-six more people died on Christmas Day in Greece due to the Coronavirus pandemic, while the country recorded an additional 262 new positive cases over the last 24 hours.
According to Greek Public Health authorities, 473 people are now intubated across the country’s hospitals, due to implications of the novel coronavirus.
The total death toll from this global pandemic in Greece is currently at 4,553.
The first 9,750 doses of the Pfizer-BioΝTech coronavirus vaccine against COVID-19 arrived in Greece under tight security on Christmas Day, December 25.
The vaccines have already been stored in special areas that meet all the specifications for the storage of medicinal products and from there, they will be distributed to the 450 vaccination centers that will be gradually put into operation across the nation.
