Οδύνη στη Βρετανία - 367 νεκροί σε μια μέρα από τον κορωνοϊό
Οδύνη προκαλεί η ραγδαία εκθετική αύξηση των θανάτων στη Βρετανία
λόγω κορωνοϊού, καθώς το τελευταίο 24ωρο έχασαν τη ζωή τους 367
άνθρωποι.
Το Εθνικό Σύστημα Υγείας της Βρετανίας (NHS) επιβεβαίωσε ότι οι
ηλικίες τους κυμαίνονταν μεταξύ 19 και 91 ετών, εκ των οποίων οι 28 δεν
είχαν κανένα υποκείμενο νόσημα, αυξάνοντας έτσι τον συνολικό αριθμό
θανάτων σε 1,651.
Σαν αποτέλεσμα, οι θάνατοι υπερδιπλασιάστηκαν μόλις σε μια ημέρα,
καθώς χθες ο αριθμός ήταν 159. Πρόκειται για το μεγαλύτερο ποσοστό
αύξησης των θανάτων μέσα σε μία ημέρα στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, όπως
μεταδίδει η βρετανική Sun.
Στη Σκωτία, έχουν πεθάνει 13 άτομα, με τον συνολικό αριθμό να φτάνει
τους 60 νεκρούς. Η δημόσια υγεία της Ουαλίας επιβεβαίωσε ότι υπήρξαν
επτά επιπλέον θάνατοι, φθάνοντας το σύνολο τους σε 69.
Από την άλλη, στη Βόρεια Ιρλανδία, έξι άνθρωποι έχασαν τη ζωή τους,
με τους συνολικούς θανάτους σήμερα Τρίτη να φτάνουν τους 28. Οι
σημερινοί αριθμοί περιλαμβάνουν μόνο εκείνους που έχασαν τη ζωή τους στο
νοσοκομείο αφότου βρέθηκαν θετικοί στον ιό. Ο πραγματικός αριθμός
θανάτων είναι στην πραγματικότητα υψηλότερος, με τουλάχιστον 40
περισσότερους ανθρώπους να πεθαίνουν από κορωνοϊό στην Αγγλία και την
Ουαλία, αφού έγιναν γνωστές περιπτώσεις ασθενών που πέθαναν στο σπίτι
τους.
Επιπλέον, νέα στοιχεία δείχνουν ότι 210 άνθρωποι έχασαν τη ζωή τους
στην Αγγλία και την Ουαλία από μέχρι τις 20 Μαρτίου, 23% περισσότερο από
τα νούμερα που έχει ανακοινώσει επίσημα το NHS. Το NHS England και η
Δημόσια Υγεία της Ουαλίας είχαν καταγράψει 170 άτομα που έχασαν τη ζωή
τους στο νοσοκομείο μέχρι την ημερομηνία αυτή.
Την Δευτέρα, το Υπουργείο Υγείας ανακοίνωσε 1.408 θανάτους στο
Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, 180 περισσότεροι από την προηγούμενη ημέρα, ενώ με
βάση τα νέα στοιχεία ο συνολικός αριθμός των θανάτων φτάνει πλέον στους
1.815. Αυτήν τη στιγμή, ο συνολικός αριθμός των κρουσμάτων είναι 22.444
σύμφωνα με το ΝΗS.
Μάλιστα, ο κύριος Hoskins, επικεφαλής του Health Care Supply
Association, του οποίου ο οργανισμός εκπροσωπεί το NHS, ανέφερε: «Τι
μέρα κι αυτή, ας μας βοηθήσει ο Θεός όλους».
Καρφιά προς την Επιτροπή Επαγγελματικού Αθλητισμού έριξε με δήλωσή του στα social media ο Αχιλλέας Μπέος. Με αφορμή την απόφαση του CAS για την υπόθεση ΠΑΟΚ-Ξάνθης, ο δήμαρχος Βόλου θυμήθηκε τις ενέργειες της επιτροπής στην περίπτωση του Ολυμπιακού Βόλου το 2011 όταν εκείνος ήταν ο ισχυρός άνδρας της ομάδας. Επίσης εξέφρασε την απορία του για το ότι κανείς μέχρι σήμερα δεν έχει υποβάλλει την παραίτησή του.
