The National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced 218 new cases of Covid-19 in Greece while three deaths were recorded; 68 people are in intubation.
Thirty-nine of the new cases are associated with known outbreaks and 39 were detected following checks at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases has reached 17,444, of which 55.8 percent are men.
The median age of intubated patients is 70 years while 16 (23.5 percent) are women and the rest are men, with 86.8 percent of intubated patients suffering from an underlying disease or are aged 70 years and older. So far, 200 patients have been discharged from ICU.
Finally, there are three more recorded deaths, bringing the total to 379 since the beginning of the outbreak. Of the total deaths, 142 (37.5 percent) were women and the rest were men.
The median age of the dying citizens was 78 years and 96.6 percent of them had some underlying disease and/or were 70 years old and over.
